![]() ![]() It really depends on what you want to do.system restore or shadow copies can restore files (accidentally deleted etc) but it may not recover a system if core files are corrupted or screwed up.like if someone just want to delete c:\windows folder then reboots. Then I would rather you speak to someone at a pet shop or a car mechanic. but I have 1 machine that shows it is working. Some people say the previous versions GUI doesn't work in win 10. ![]() Unless you set up shadow copies or system restore and run it, else you will not have system restore previous copies of files etc. Unless you performed upgrade, there will not be previous version of OS ? How often shoudl that run? Is tehre a way to trigger a previous version? or is that another name for restore point? If I right click on my pc, properties, system protection, I see system protection is on for the C drive.Ĭlicking on configure, some of them show 0 current usage and some show several gigs of usage.Īny recommendations where to start to see why I don't get previous versions under that tab for folders / c drive? On the other 5 machines I checked, they all say no previous versions available. I noticed on just 1 of the machines that if I go into properties of a drive / folder, then click on previous versions, I see previous versions. I have several windows 10 pro machines - for office work and lab experimenting.
